Gabapentin is typically used as an antileptic drug, but more recently has been studied for its analgesic potential in neuropathic pain models and for surgical inflammatory pain. Gabapentin has been shown to be an effective anti-inflammatory drug used in a variety of species including rodents. Gabapentin MD's are highly palatable and encourage appetite post-operatively promoting a more rapid recovery versus other conventional methods. They are an ideal pain-free alternative to stressful and injurious post-operative injections. Gabapentin MD's can be customized to include other medications to deliver both medications easily and affordably.
